to Norwegian coastal environments.
Boreal Sailing Academy (BSA) arranges recognized courses on various levels.
Approved courses
Introduction for beginners (10 hours)
- Practical training in a yacht. You will get to know all basic for handling a sail boat in a safe and secure way.
BSA Crew (20 hours)
- Practical course with some theory. The aim of the course is to introduce the complete beginner to cruise under sail, thereby
enabling them to become an active crew. You will be taught the fundamentals such as knots, nautical terms, sail handling and
helming, as you will get experience in "living" in the environment of a cruising yacht.
BSA Skipper Course - (5 days)

Practical course for you who wants more experience in coastal sailing. It is also suitable for families and groups that aspire
as yacht owners.

Previous Experience Required: BSA Crew Course completed, 7 days aboard, 150 nm logged and 8 night hours sailed. Knowledge
of basic navigation (min. Båtførerprøven not older than 5 years).

Course Overview: Practical navigation, pilotage and boat handling, seamanship and basic skippering techniques.

During the course you stay and live on-board for a longer period and as such get familiar with a safe and pleasant travel
at sea.
BSA Skipper / Crew training (5 days)
- Practical course for you that want more experiences in sailing either costal or ocean sailing. It is also suitable for families
and groups that aspire as yacht owners.
